BOZEMAN — Montana State University has announced Eli Kisko as the winner of this year’s Gold Rush T-shirt design contest. The T-shirt, which is created for the annual Gold Rush Bobcat football game, will go on sale July 12.

Kisko is a 2017 MSU graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design, which is in the School of Art in the College of Arts and Architecture. The design features an illustrated bobcat merged with the silhouette of Montana with “MSU Gold Rush 2019” inside the state. Kisko, who currently runs Eli Kisko Design, said his inspiration for the design came from MSU’s 125th anniversary celebration last year.

Now in its 13th year, the Gold Rush T-shirt is a tradition to help kick off the home football season and is designed to inspire fans to showcase Bobcat spirit by filling the stadium with gold. This year’s Gold Rush game is against Southwest Missouri State on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Bobcat Stadium.

“The Gold Rush game is synonymous with Bobcat spirit,” said MSU Director of Marketing Julie Kipfer. “The experience unites students, alumni and the community to celebrate MSU’s excellence in the classroom and on the field.”

The limited-edition Gold Rush T-shirts are $14 and may be purchased at the MSU Bookstore and at Universal Athletic stores in Bozeman, Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell and Missoula. The shirts are also available online at www.msubookstore.org and at www.universalathletic.com.
