Montana State Bobcats preaching defense against Montana

BOZEMAN — In their last meeting, the Montana State women’s basketball team beat the Montana Lady Griz 74-52 in Worthington Arena.

After a hot start by the maroon and white, the Bobcats adjusted. One thing that went right was their skilled defense, and that’s something the Griz will definitely be looking out for.

“It’s always a tossup. Going into the last game, I don’t think we were planning on zoning them, and then we kind of fell back into it and it ended up working, so I think whatever we decide to do as long as we put a 100 percent effort into it, we will find success with it,” said MSU freshman Kamden Hilborn. “You know, as long as we’re knowing our matchups, knowing our personnel, zone or man, I think we will be able to combat that. I think it will be a packed house, so it will be a fun environment to play in.”
