Montana State Bobcat Delaney Junkermier signs pro contract in Ireland

BOZEMAN – Former Montana State women’s basketball standout Delany Junkermier has signed to play professionally for the Glanmire Ladies Basketball Club in Cork, Ireland.

According to Junkermier’s agent Matthew Krejci, Glanmire competes in the Irish Superleague, the top women’s basketball conference in the country. The Cork club team is a perennial power winning the Superleague championship in seven of the past 13 seasons.

Last season, the Spokane, Wash., product averaged 11.4 points and 5.2 rebounds per game as the Bobcats went 16-15 overall and 9-9 in Big Sky action. The Mead High graduate was third on the team with 52 three-pointers, while shooting 36 percent from beyond the arc. For her efforts, Junkermier was named to the Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention team.

Junkermier finished her career in the Blue and Gold fourth in all-time three-pointers made with 152 and is third all-time with 122 games played.
