BOZEMAN – The Montana State Bobcats kick off the 2018 football season with their Gold Rush game against Western Illinois on Thursday. There is one part of stadium security that every fan will need to follow in order to be able to get inside to their seat.

This year, MSU has instituted a new Clear Bag Policy for Bobcat Stadium. This means that the only types of bags allowed in the stadium are a clear bag, small clutch bags, wallets and seat cushions. Medical bags and diaper bags are also allowed inside the stadium. If you want to bring your own bag from home, you can bring a one-gallon re-sealable clear plastic bag.

Fans are allowed to bring in one clear plastic bag per person.

Fans cannot bring in things like backpacks, large purses, draw string bags, or even clear bags that have a printed design on them.

The university also states that its new policy conforms with the Department of Homeland Security’s “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign, which aims to provide safer environments for the public. MSU states that these measures will also reduce the time it takes to search spectators bags at the game, therefore getting fans into their seats faster.
