MISSOULA — The Montana Grizzlies will face Oregon on Week 3 of the 2019 football season in a Pac-12 After Dark game, set for Sept. 14 under the lights at Autzen Stadium, the conference announced Thursday.
Kickoff against the Ducks is set for 8:45 p.m. MT (7:45 p.m. PT) and will be broadcast nationwide on the Pac-12 Network.
Montana will face Oregon for the first time since 2005 and just the ninth time in program history this season.
Formerly conference foes as members of the Pacific Coast Conference from 1924-1950, the Grizzlies are 0-7-1 all-time against the Ducks dating back to the first meeting between the two in 1928.
UM’s lone tie against Oregon came in 1952 when Ed Chinske’s Grizzlies returned from Eugene with a 14-14 draw.
The Grizzlies nearly upset Oregon in 1993 in a famous comeback attempt by future College Football Hall of Famer Dave Dickenson, with UM rallying from a 28-3 deficit for a 35-30 loss.
The Oregon matchup will be the first time the Griz have played on the Pac-12 Network since 2017 at Washington.
Other kickoff times and broadcast details will be announced as available in the near future.
