MISSOULA – Montana head coach Travis DeCuire announced on Wednesday that Admir Besovic, Niko Bevens and Lars Espe will not be returning to the basketball program for the 2018-19 season.

“Our culture was strong this year, and Niko, Lars and Admir all played very valuable roles in the success of the Montana basketball program,” DeCuire said. “We appreciate what they brought to our team, and we wish them the best as they move on to their next chapter.”

Besovic, a center from Bosnia and Herzegovina, played 31 minutes over 18 games as a true freshman. He scored 13 points and totaled five rebounds.

Bevens played in 15 games, hitting a three-pointer in a win over CSUN. He also added a steal, assist and one rebound over 24 minutes of game action. He was in his first season with the Grizzlies after spending his freshman year at North Idaho College.

Espe, a freshman from Norway, played 42 minutes over 17 games. He totaled six points, three rebounds, five assists and one block.

Montana is coming off of a historic season that included a 26-8 record, Big Sky Conference regular-season and tournament titles, and a trip to the NCAA tournament.
