SAN FRANCISCO – Bozeman native Brock Coyle is re-signing with the San Francisco 49ers the team announced on Wednesday. The linebacker’s new contract is a three-year $11.5 million deal, including $4.1 million guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“Brock stepped up big for us last season when we experienced some adversity at the linebacker position,” said head coach Kyle Shanahan in a press release from the 49ers. “He’s a selfless guy that does everything the right way. We’ve always known Brock to be a guy we can count on, and it was great to see him play the way he did when given the opportunity.”

Coyle, 27, played at the University of Montana and originally signed with San Francisco in 2017. Last season he saw action in all 16 games, including starting 10 of them at middle linebacker.
