Montana State Sports Information Release
SPOKANE, Wa. — The Montana State women’s tennis team dropped the final match of its season-opening road trip as Gonzaga handed the Bobcats a 7-0 setback on Sunday morning at The Steven Center.
The Zags won the opening point sweeping all three double matches, then captured points at Nos. 1, 4, 5 and 6 singles to secure the victory. Senior Angelina Philippova but up the best battle for the Bobcats at No. 2 singles, before eventually falling to Graciela Rosas 6-0, 7-6 (7-5).
Montana State (1-2) will host Montana on Friday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
