BOZEMAN — A T-shirt featuring a bobcat has been selected as the winning design for Montana State University’s annual Gold Rush game against Western Illinois, which is set for Thursday, Aug. 30, in Bobcat Stadium. This year’s Gold Rush game will be played under the lights, with the kick off at 7 p.m.

Now in its 12th year, Gold Rush kicks off the Bobcat home football season and encourages fans to showcase their Bobcat spirit by filling the stadium in a sea of gold.

Kelsey Dzintars created this year’s winning T-shirt design. Dzintars graduated from MSU with honors in 2009 and is now a professional graphic designer based in Bozeman. Earlier this year Dzintars’ design – which features a bold line drawing of the school’s mascot – also won the grand prize for MSU’s 125th anniversary poster contest.

“We are proud to highlight some of MSU’s top traditions during Montana State University’s 125th anniversary year,” said Julie Kipfer, MSU marketing director. “The Gold Rush game unites students, alumni and the community to celebrate MSU’s heritage and our continued pursuit of excellence in the classroom and on the field.”

The limited edition Gold Rush T-shirts go on sale July 13. T-shirts are $12 and may be purchased at the MSU Bookstore and at Universal Athletic stores in Bozeman, Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Helena, Kalispell and Missoula. Gold Rush shirts are also available online at msubookstore.org and at universalathletic.com/.
