MISSOLA – Missoula Hellgate took a while to start clicking on Saturday afternoon. But once the Knights did, they ran away from the Helena High Bengals in Western AA boys basketball action.

The Knights remained tied for first place in the conference after a 63-37 win over the Bengals. Hellgate led just 12-11 after trailing for most of the first quarter, but it built an eight-point lead by halftime. A huge fourth quarter pushed the game out of reach for Helena.

Rollie Worster led Hellgate with 17 points. Bridger Deden scored 12, and Kade Lunday added 10.

Connor Murgel was the only Helena player in double figures with 11 points.

Hellgate improves to 5-1 at the halfway point of Western AA conference play. The Knights are tied for first place with Missoula Sentinel. Helena falls to 1-5.
