TOWNSEND — The Class B basketball courts were busy Saturday night, but a nonconference doubleheader in Broadwater County displayed some of the top talent in the class.

The Townend girls, ranked No. 2 in the MontanaSports.com polls last week, outscored Choteau 26-4 in the opening half en route to the 45-26 win.

The boys contest was much closer, with Townsend seeking an upset over the District 1B Bulldogs from Choteau. The home team actually took the lead in the fourth quarter, but Jonathan Moore’s offensive rebound and putback as time expired gave Choteau a 61-59 win.

Kelly Morris Photography took in each game, resulting in the photo gallery below. Kelly specializes in sports posters, as well as various other projects as requested.
