DILLON – Montana Western has officially hired Bill Wilson as their a new athletic director.
Wilson spent three years as the athletic director at Pratt Community College in Kansas, which is near the same-sized campus as Western. He also lead the athletic department at Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin. During his time there, the college experienced the most growth it has seen in 20 years.
The Cleveland, Ohio native will be taking over for current athletic director Russ Richardson, who is resigning from the post on January 1, 2018 to become the Director of Student-Athlete Health and Wellness for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
Wilson should have no trouble adapting to Southwest Montana. He is an avid fly fisherman, teaching the sport and fly tying for over 15 years. He is expected to start his tenure with the Bulldogs on Thursday Feb 1.
