HELENA – The Montana Tech Orediggers defeated the University of Calgary by a single point, 68-67, Thursday night in Helena.

The Lady Diggers were lead by Kourtney Coverdell, who had 15 points and five assists. Her twin sister Kaylynn tallied 13 points and 4 assists. Tech led by as many as 17 points with five minutes left in the third quarter.

The Lady Diggers, who were projected as one of the bottom teams in the Frontier, have proven they are much better than people thought as they now move to 9-4 overall.

Montana Tech is back in action Friday against the University of Lethbridge at home.
