KALISPELL — Butte won a close girls game to start the evening, but Kalispell Flathead put on a show in the boys game to head into Christmas break with some momentum.

The Bravette girls took a 31-30 lead on a 3-pointer by Clara Vandenbosch with six minutes to go, but Haley Herron answered with her own jumper to put the Bulldogs back on top. Flathead never scored again, and Butte hit enough free throws down the stretch to win 39-31.

In the boys game that followed, Butte kept it close through the first quarter, but the Braves went on a dominant stretch early in the second quarter to blow it open. Flathead dominated the rest of the way to win easily, 82-48.
