CHANDLER, Ariz. — Arizona has been kind to the Montana Western men’s basketball team, which won its second straight contest of a three-game series at the Cactus Classic on Monday as the Bulldogs defeated Thompson Rivers University 95-84.

All five of Montana Western’s starters scored in double figures and Western only saw eight points come from its bench. Dom Robinson led all scorers with 25 points, while Marcus Payne’s 23-point, 12-rebound double-double also helped pace the Dawgs.

For the second game in a row, the men were able to minimize turnovers, giving up just six to Thompson Rivers. Western has only turned the ball over 13 times in its first two games of the round robin tournament.

Montana Western (10-1) finishes up the trip to Arizona on Tuesday with a matchup against The Master’s University.
