BILLINGS – Missoula Hellgate outscored Billings Skyview 30-17 in the fourth quarter, overcoming an eight-point second half deficit on their way to a 62-52 road win Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Rollie Worster again led the Knights with 23 points, while Bridger Deden chipped in 13. Skyview led 35-27 midway though the third quarter, but were outscored 35-17 from that point forward to lose their first game of the season.

Hellgate is the only boys team to finish the weekend 2-0, with wins over Skyview and Senior.

Billings Senior 63, Missoula Sentinel 50

Connor Kieckbusch hits a buzzer-beating three at the end of the first quarter to propel Billings Senior to a 13-5 lead en route to a 63-50 win over Missoula Sentinel Saturday afternoon.

Friday night hero Sam Beighle, who had the game-winning steal and lay-up with 2.5 seconds against Billings West a night earlier, cut the Spartans deficit to just five after a third-quarter three, but the Broncs never relinquished the lead on their way to earning a split on the weekend.

Senior improves to 2-1 with the win.

Billings West 77, Missoula Big Sky 47

Jesse Owens scored 20 first-half points, and the Billings West Bears cut Missoula Big Sky’s zone defense apart in a 77-47 win Saturday afternoon at the Golden Dome.

West rebounded quickly from a heartbreaking loss to Sentinel on Friday night, jumping out to a 39-27 halftime lead and increasing it to 55-36 after three quarters. Owens rested the entire fourth.

West moves to 1-1 on the season with the win, while Big Sky falls to 0-3.
