HAVRE – Adam Huse and Gabe Porter scored 27 points apiece as MSU-Northern downed Yellowstone Christian 101-49 on Thursday. It was the fifth win in six games for the Lights.

Huse and Porter each made nine total field goals and seven 3-pointers for MSU-Northern (8-3).  Huse, the former Bozeman standout, was 7-8 from downtown and added four rebounds and three assists in the win. Porter was 7-15 from beyond the arc and 9-18 overall.

Devin Bray chipped in with 17 points, adding another five 3-pointers for Shawn Huse’s squad, which plays three more nonconference contests before the new year.

The Lights shot 49 percent from the floor while limiting YCC to 27 percent on 18-65 shooting. MSUN won the rebounding battle 52-28 and shot 48 percent from the 3-point line, making 20 field goals from downtown.

MSU-Northern returns to action next Friday against Nueta Hidatsa College. Game time is slated for 8 p.m. at the Armory Gymnasium in Havre.
