BOZEMAN — The Montana State Bobcats will play host to a hot UC-Santa Barbara team this Saturday, one that has won its last six games.

Even tougher for MSU is that it may have to play without star forward Tyler Hall. The junior standout re-aggravated an ankle injury originally sustained in a game against Montana Western on Nov. 15. The latest tweak came in a 68-64 Bobcat victory at Milwaukee on Dec. 2.

“He won’t practice (this week),” said head coach Brian Fish. “The swelling — we’re having trouble getting it down — so (his status) will be a game-time decision.”

Although Hall wasn’t available, Fish did give some insight into how the reliable Big Sky preseason player of the year is feeling regarding the injury.

“He’s really frustrated,” he explained. “You see the Tyler we’ve seen for 70 games around here, and you’ll see three or four games now where he hasn’t been able to move, and he’s just frustrated.”
