KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Carroll College and Montana Western remain as the lone two Montana teams ranked in the NAIA’s men’s basketball top 25 poll.

Carroll College made a big jump from No. 12 to No. 4 in the first official ranking and earned one first-place vote. The Saints are yet to lose a game (barring exhibitions) en route to an 8-0 record. Carroll is 2-0 in its first two Frontier Conference games, defeating Montana State-Northern in overtime on Dec. 2 before taking down the University of Providence the following night.

Montana Western fell nine spots to No. 17 after losing its first game of the season last week. The Bulldogs fell to 7-1 after a 91-82 loss at Lewis and Clark State on Nov. 30. The Warriors jumped 13 spots this week to No. 11.
