WHITEFISH – MSU-Northern senior forward Ryan Reeves has been named the Frontier Conference men’s basketball player of the week. The league announced the news on Monday.

Reeves, a 6-foot-10 senior, averaged a double-double in leading the Lights to a 3-0 record the past week. The Wrangell, Alaska native posted averages of 19 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and two assists as the Lights downed Portland Bible College (104-78), Salish Kootenai College (145-46) and Valley City State (77-54). The 145 points against Salish Kootenai is a new program record.

Reeves made 25 of his 36 field goals, good for 69 percent. He also hit eight of his 12 free throw attempts.

MSU-Northern is 6-2 this season and welcomes Frontier Conference foes Rocky Mountain College and Carroll College to Armory Gymnasium on Friday and Saturday.
