HAVRE – The MSU-Northern Lights set a school scoring record with 145 points in a 145-46 win over Salish Kootenai Friday evening in Havre. The previous record was 142 points. The 99-point margin of victory was also a school record.

Senior forward Ryan Reeves led the Lights with 28 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks. Eight Lights players scored in double figures with Gabe Porter (20) and Caulin Bakalarski (20) joining Reeves with over twenty points.

Northern led 67-26 after the first half and continued to pour it on in the second period, outscoring the Bison 78-20.

The Lights were 50-of-90 from the field (55.6-percent) and 23-of-45 (51.1-percent) from beyond the arc for the game. The Lights defense held Salish Kootenai to just 26-percent shooting from the field, led by Jaydon Bautista with 24 points.

The game was part of the four team AmericInn Classic in Havre. The Lights will face Valley City State University Saturday at 6 p.m. in the Armory Gymnasium.
