BOZEMAN — Troy Andersen, who was just recently named a finalist for the Jerry Rice Freshman of the Year Award, was selected as the Big Sky Conference’s Freshman of the Year. Andersen played on both sides of the ball, as well as on special teams, for the Bobcats this season. He notched 515 rushing yards to go along with five touchdowns on the ground and a touchdown reception. On defense, he had nine tackles and a sack for the Bobcats.

Montana State wrapped up its 2017 season on Saturday, Nov. 18, by defeating the Montana Grizzlies, 31-23. It was the second consecutive season the Bobcats have beat the Griz and first time MSU had achieved the feat at home since 2005.
