WHITEFISH – Rocky Mountain College receiver Lucas Overton has been named the Frontier Conference offensive player of the week in. The league announced the awards, the final version of the regular season, on Monday.

Overton, a freshman from Emmett, Idaho, hauled in 15 receptions for 222 yards and two touchdowns in the Battlin’ Bears’ season-ending victory over Montana Western. Rocky earned a 48-42 victory in overtime against the Bulldogs.

Overton also rushed two times for three yards on offense, while returning six kick returns for 214 yards, scoring an 82-yard touchdown. The performance helped Rocky seal it’s first winning season since 2013.

Eastern Oregon swept the defensive and special teams player of the week honors. Defensive back Justin Hughes recorded eight solo tackles, nine assisted tackles and a pass breakup. Nathan Harden connected on a 41-yard field goal to force overtime against Carroll College. The Mountaineers won 41-34 in the extra time.
