WHITEFISH – MSU-Northern guard Peyton Filius has been named the Frontier Conference women’s basketball player of the week, the league announced on Monday.

Filius, a senior from Havre, Mont., guided the Skylights to three victories during the week. The Skylights defeated Dickinson State 66-61, knocked off Northwest (Wash.) 77-48 and routed San Diego Christian 74-47.

The 5-foot-6 guard averaged 16 points, 3.7 rebounds, three assists and one steal per contest in the three-game sweep. Filius knocked down 16 of 35 field goals, including a 12-22 performance from behind the 3-point line. She also made all four of her field goals.

Lewis-Clark State senior forward Jeremy Franklin was named the league’s men’s player of the week.
