BOZEMAN – Consecutive state championships led to Missoula Sentinel’s Kylie Frohlich earning the Western AA volleyball player of the year award. Raegan Steiner of runner-up Billings Senior took home the honor in the Eastern AA.

Frohlich led the Spartans to victories over Steiner’s Broncs on back-to-back days, first in Friday’s undefeated semifinal and again on Saturday in the State AA championship. Billings Senior entered the tournament unbeaten, while Sentinel’s lone loss of the season came against the Broncs at the Great Falls Invite.

Helena Capital finished third in the Class AA state tournament, earning the Bruins’ first volleyball trophy since 2002.
