She is one of 14 juniors in the GNAC to be recognized the past two seasons. The conference currently has 10 seniors that were named to the team all three years, a feat McConnell could achieve next year.

Sherman earned the honor in her first year of eligibility while earning a 3.45 while studying human services. She is one of 24 sophomores to earn recognition this season.

On the court, the Yellowjackets only returners from last season have played significant roles as leaders. McConnell ranks fourth on the team with 131 kills this season and is second with 57 blocks. Sherman ranks third on the ‘Jackets with 196 digs.

Concordia University led the conference with nine players being named to the team. Overall, 64 student-athletes received the honor for excellence in the classroom and on the volleyball court.
