WHITEFISH – University of Providence senior guard Stephanie McDonagh has been named the Frontier Conference women’s basketball player of the week. The league announced the news on Monday.

McDonagh, a 5-foot-9 senior from Vancouver, Wash., led the lady Argos to wins over Benedictine-Mesa (Arizona) and Arizona Christian. UP topped Benedictine 79-51 and held off Arizona Christian 65-58.

McDonagh averaged 26.5 points per game, while hauling in six rebounds, 2.5 steals and two assists per contest. She drilled 50 percent of her field goals (19-38) and connected on nine 3-pointers in the wins. She also made six of her 12 free throw attempts.

Providence welcomes Northwest University (Wash.) to the McLaughlin Center on Friday, Nov. 10. Start time is set for 5:30 p.m.
