LEWISTON, Id. – Fred Petsch finished second in 24:59 at the Frontier Conference Cross Country Championships Friday, qualifying him for the NAIA National Cross Country meet.

Battlin Bear teammate Jackson Duffey also qualified for nationals with a seventh-place finish in 25:32.  Lewis-Clark State’s Nolan Ryan won the meet in 24:29.

Lewis-Clark ran away with the team title with five of the top six finishers.  Rocky finished second with 73 points to L-C State’s 19.

Rocky’s women would total 146 points for a sixth-place result. Mei-Li Stevens led the Battlin’ Bears in 18th after finishing the race in 19:46.

The NAIA National Cross Country Championship is slated for Nov. 18 in Vancouver, Wash.
