BILLINGS – Tyler Scales took center stage early and Jesse Kruse stole the show late on the final day of the NILE rodeo at Rimrock Auto Arena.
Clint Laye got the action started on Saturday night with an 81.5 aboard Double Time to take the overall lead in the Bareback.
That 81.5 held up until the final bareback ride of the NILE rodeo. Tyler Scales of Severance, Colorado stepped up on Craig at Midnight and thrilled the Rimrock Auto Arena crowd with an 87 to win the bareback.
That finish paved the way for an exciting Saddle Bronc competition.
Great Falls native Jesse Kruse came in as the defending champion and he took home the title again. Kruse was flawless aboard Show Me Again. The former world champ put up the only 90 of the NILE rodeo to get his 2017-18 rodeo season off to a fantastic start.
