BILLINGS – It was Tough Enough to Wear Pink night at Round 2 of the NILE Rodeo, and the main event did not disappoint.

JR Vezain of Cowley, Wyoming was the big name in the bareback and he was solid again Friday. Vezain finished with a 77.5, good for third place in the second round.

However, it was Dillon, Montana native Tristan Hansen, who stole the show on Friday night. A huge ride gave him 79 points and the top spot in Round 2. He sits second overall.

Riley Krassin of Lander, Wyoming won the steer wrestling in 5.3 seconds, while Kyle Callaway and partner Clay Johnson took home the team roping in 5.2 seconds.

Lane Cust aboard Rustlers Moon set the gold standard in the saddle bronc with an 80-point ride. That 80 led all the way until the final ride of the night.

In what was billed as the best matchup, Leon Fountain survived the full eight seconds on Loaded Deck, and Fountain was rewarded. The man from New Mexico was best on the second day of the NILE rodeo with an 81.5-point ride. That puts him second overall with just one night to go.
