HELENA – The Helena Capital girls soccer team looks to take one step closer to securing a first-round bye in the upcoming state tournament Thursday when it hosts Missoula Big Sky.

“Big Sky is a physical team, they definitely play kind of a run-and-gun style of offense,” said Capital head coach Lindsey Gilstrip. “We’re hopeful with the home-field advantage that we can basically stifle that attack and generate some offense ourselves.”

“It’ll be a physical battle,” Bruins senior Ashley Carlson added. “It’s always that way with Big Sky, but I think we’re really excited to have the home advantage and be able to show what we’ve been able to do at home and just continue that momentum.”
