New York Jets rookie Dylan Donahue received some tough news Wednesday when the Jets placed him on Injured Reserve, according to the team website.

Donahue is apparently out for the season after suffering an elbow injury Sunday against Jacksonville that will require surgery to fix torn ligaments. The former Billings West standout was hurt late in overtime of Sunday’s win while blocking on a punt return.

Donahue was the Jets’ fifth-round draft pick in April. He has four tackles for loss and four quarterback pressures this season.
