BOZEMAN — A wild month in the life of Luke Daly has led to his leaving the Montana State football program, according to the school.

Daly, a senior who began the season as the team’s starting kicker, lost the top spot after missing a pair of crucial field goals in the Bobcats’ home opener against South Dakota State on Sept. 9.

Head coach Jeff Choate announced on Sept. 11 that the job would be open and it was announced the following week that Gabe Peppenger would assume the role, while Daly would still handle kickoffs and punts.

Daly’s new role would not come to fruition as he would take to Facebook to announce that he lost both the punting and kickoff role and would not be traveling to North Dakota for MSU’s Sept. 23 matchup.

Daly finishes his senior campaign and career in Bozeman 0-3 on field goal attempts in two games.
