WHITEFISH – The Frontier Conference awarded Angela Molesworth and Sabrina Hopcroft Frontier Volleyball Players of the Week on Monday.
The Orediggers went 2-0 last week and took hold of the top of the Frontier Conference standings. Tech swept Montana Western Thursday and handed Rocky Mountain College its first conference loss in a 3-1 victory on Saturday.
Molesworth earned her second Attacker of the Week award of the season. The 6-foot-2 outside hitter had a 0.344 hitting percentage in the two matches and finished with 29 kills. Molesworth averaged 4.14 kills per set, hitting double-digit kills in both matches.
Hopcroft won her second Defender of the Week award this season, receiving the honor last week, as well. The award is the fifth for Hopcroft in her career. The 5-7 sophomore libero averaged 6.14 digs per set, including 31 total digs against Rocky Mountain.
Carroll College’s Rayna Pilgeram was named the Setter of the Week. The 6-foot senior from HElena, averaged 10.89 assists and 4.89 digs per set. The Saints earned a four-set win over Montana State-Northern and lost in five at the University of Providence.
