BUTTE — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) named Montana Tech’s Quinn McQueary the NAIA Offensive Player of the Week. This is the first week for the national award.

The 6-foot-3 senior quarterback led the Oredigger offense to a record setting performance against Montana State-Northern on Saturday. Montana Tech scored a school-record 70 points downing the Lights 70-27 in Havre.

McQueary went 21 of 31 passing for 359 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. The Manhattan native also had a catch on the day with a 33 yard reception from Dion.

Montana Tech stays on the road this week. The Orediggers travel to Billings to take on Rocky Mountain College.
