BOZEMAN – Isaac Schmidt of Missoula Hellgate and Camila Noe of Bozeman raced to wins at the Bozeman Cross Country Invitational Saturday at Bridger Creek Golf Course.

More than 1,000 athletes participated at the meet that included runners from every classification. Bozeman swept the team titles, and Missoula Hellgate finished second in both. The Manhattan Christian boys and Helena Capital girls placed third.

Schmidt crossed the finish line in 15 minutes, 18.47 seconds for the Knights, just ahead of Bozeman’s Duncan Hamilton Jr. in 15:22.54. Leonard McComas of Bozeman, Teagan Olson of Great Falls High and Dylan Humberger of Bozeman completed the top five. The Hawks placed six runners in the top 10.

On the girls’ side, Noe cruised to the win in a time of 17:51.62. Bigfork’s Bryn Morley finished in second place at 18:12.41, followed by Ella DeGrandpre of Hellgate at 18:14.73. Bozeman’s Alex Moore and Phoebe Jacques rounded out the top five.
