LA GRANDE, Ore. – The No. 7 Eastern Oregon football team’s home opener on Saturday against No. 19 Montana Western has been postponed to Sunday at 2 p.m. (Mountain Time), officials announced Friday morning.

Due to poor air quality in the region, officials decided to delay the highly touted matchup 24 hours to allow the smoke to clear.

The game will still be played on the campus of Eastern Oregon University at Community Stadium.
