BARCELONA, Spain – Former Montana Grizzly men’s basketball coach Wayne Tinkle, his son Tres and former Billings Skyview standout Kendal Manuel are all safe and accounted for in Spain following an incident where a van ran over pedestrians in the Barcelona city center.
Tinkle, the current head coach at Oregon State, told KOIN News on Twitter that the incident “happened directly in front of our hotel while we were having a team meal in the restaurant, so senseless and sad!” He said that his team and staff were all accounted for.

The Oregon State athletics department sent a press release on Thursday confirming that the Beavers are safe in Spain following the incident. Oregon State is currently touring through Spain playing five exhibition games. The athletics department is determining the remaining schedule, which was set to conclude on Aug. 25.
