SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Two nights after scoring a tournament-best 16 runs in their win over Idaho, Missoula Mount Sentinel’s offense couldn’t keep up with that of Walla Walla (WA), as the Montana representative’s season ended with a 10-6 loss in the semifinal of the Little League Northwest Regional.

As both teams each traded runs in the first inning of the game, Washington blew the game open with an eight-run 2nd inning, capped off with a Brixen Betzler three-run home run.

Montana chipped away at Washington’s lead in the bottom of the 3rd, scoring five runs on just two hits.

But just as it seemed Montana might have some momentum on its side, Keegan Weston stole it back on the fifth pitch of the 4th inning with a solo home run to center field.
