GLENDIVE – DCC has added four more to their volleyball roster for the 2017 season. Lexi Joslin from Savage, MT; Samantha Youngman from Poplar, MT; Ebonay Clark from Denver, Colorado; and Sara Anderson from Belt, MT. Coach Dina Fritz says “I am excited that we continue to add quality players to our program. With each young woman we add we are one step closer to our season beginning.”

Ebonay Clark is a 5′ 9″ middle from Denver, CO. Clark lettered in volleyball and basketball three years in high school. Along with lettering, she was on the All-City second team for two years. Clark was an honor roll student all four years of high school and received academic letterman two years and a bilingual certification. Clark had this to say about playing at DCC this Fall, “I am very excited to continue my academic and athletic journey at DCC and hope for a great season.”

Samantha Youngman is a 5′ 6″ setter/right side from Poplar, Montana. Youngman is another three sport athlete, lettering in basketball four years, volleyball three years, and tennis two years. She received Academic All-State Honors all four years in her sports. Youngman also received second team All-Conference her junior year and First Team All-Conference her senior year in volleyball. She was captain of her basketball team for three years and co-captain of her volleyball team for three years. Youngman said, “I’ve never pictured myself as a college athlete. I’m so happy and excited to continue my volleyball career as a Lady Buccaneer!”

Lexi Joslin is a 5’2″ setter from Savage, Montana. She lettered all four years of high school in volleyball, basketball, and track. She also received MVP setter all four years of high school in volleyball along with Academic All-State honors all four years. Joslin was an All-Conference selection for two years in basketball and qualified to go to the State Track Meet all four years. She is a member of the National Honors Society and was Valedictorian of her class. Joslin had this to say about playing at DCC, “I am excited to continue my sports career.”

Sara Anderson is a 5′ 7″ outside from Belt, MT. Anderson comes from a very competitive school, Belt High School, where she lettered in three sports; volleyball, basketball and track. She was an All-State selection in basketball and volleyball her junior and senior years and, along with those honors, was also Academic All-State all four years in all three of her sports. Anderson won a volleyball state title this past season (2016) and was a runner up the season before, 2015, and in 2013. In 2014, their volleyball team placed third at the state tourney. She also won state titles in basketball her freshman, junior, and senior years and was selected Co-Athlete of the Year her senior year. Anderson also has numerous academic achievements to round out her resume. She says, “I am excited to be a part of the DCC family and to have the opportunity to continue playing volleyball! The season is going to be full of new things and I can’t wait to see how it all goes, Go Bucs!”
