LEWISTOWN — The second performance of the Central Montana rodeo in Lewistown wasn’t quite as star studded as the first, but still packed in plenty of solid rides.
In the bareback, no one could catch Troy Vaira’s 81 from Wednesday but Helena’s Chase Erickson earned a share of second place with an 80 point ride on “Crow Fair”.
Thursday only saw on sub-5 second time in the steer wrestling. Nevada cowboy Sterling Lambert went 4.4 seconds for second place, behind Justin Shaffer’s 4.1 from Wednesday.
Travis and Brady Tryan recorded the best time of the night in the team roping but still fell short of first place money.
In saddle bronc, 2017 NHSFR champion Houston Brown opened with an impressive 80 point ride. But Chase Brooks (82) and Andy Clarys (83) kept him out of the money. Cody DeMoss and Jacobs Crawley split first place, both recording an 84 point ride on Wednesday.
