GLENDIVE – Not too far from Dawson County, Head Baseball Coach Chris Lewis was able to receive a commitment from Brett Norby of Sidney High School in Sidney, MT.

Norby is a Richland County Patriot catcher who also played for Miles City Outlaws and 406 Baseball.

“We got a good one in Brett Norby,” said Lewis. “Defensively, he receives well and his athleticism could allow him to excel at blocking the ball in the dirt, but what stands out is his ability to be vocal on the field.

“He is a great athlete, not just for a catcher, but for any position on the field. He runs well and has good bat speed. He is playing in the middle infield this summer as well, so we will move him around the field this fall and see where he will best fit us on his off days behind the plate.”

Norby was excited about his commitment.

“I chose to commit to DCC because I love the classy, hardworking baseball that Coach Lewis promotes,” the Sidney product said. “I feel DCC gives me the best chance to improve my skills and be ready to move on to a 4-year program.”
