#4. The beast from Fairfield strikes one last time

We go to the State B meet. Fairfield’s senior Cantor Coverdell wins the boys triple jump by lunging over 45 feet! That’s far!

#3. Delaney, a freshman, has a very bright future in front of her

State C track meet in Laurel. Girls 200 meters dash, it’s the amazing freshman from Winnett-Grass Range, Zoe Delaney who gets the victory with a time of 26.33 seconds.

#2a. Morgan Evans ends her storybook career with no surprise, going out on top

Two gamechangers tied at number two. First we go back to the AA State meet. Morgan Evans from Great Falls High dominated in her last high school track meet, winning the girls 100 meter dash with 12.27 seconds. She won both hurdles events for the second straight year, with a time of 14.47 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles and 43.17 seconds in the 300 meter hurdles.

#2b. To say CMR softball had a dominating year would be an understatement

For the other number two, we go to the CMR softball team winning back to back State AA titles. The Rustlers rode behind pitcher Tristin Achenbach, who had 12 strikeouts and only gave up one hit in the 3-0 win against the Great Falls High Bison. CMR finished with a 25-1 overall record.

#1. Tintinger finished off an amazing year with a crazy state record, and national attention

We have the super human freshman Trey Tintinger from Helena High breaking the state record 7 feet, 1.5 inches in the bus high jump! Unbelievable! The feat caught national attention and made it onto Sportcenter’s Top 10! Remember he’s only a 14 year old freshman. He’s got three more years to top that mark and build his legend, which probably means the best is yet to come!
