BILLINGS – The Vegas Golden Knights, the National Hockey League’s newest expansion franchise, have signed a television deal with Root Rocky Mountain Sports, which will give Montanans access to all local Knights broadcasts throughout their inaugural upcoming season.

Root will air all Golden Knights games live, with the exception of nationally televised games on NBC and NBC Sports.

Bill Foley, majority owner of the Golden Knights, often spends time just outside of Deer Lodge, where he is the developer of the Rock Creek Cattle Company. He formed and also serves as chairman of the Glacier Restaurant Group, which is the largest Montana-based restaurant company. Their restaurants include MacKenzie River Pizza Co. and Ciao Mambo.

The team is also working with Lotus Broadcasting to develop a network of radio stations to carry the team’s games into Utah, Idaho, and Montana.
