GREAT FALLS – The Great Falls Bison softball team faced the Bozeman Hawks for a best-of-three playoff series in Great Falls in Thursday. The Bison easily won 9-0 in the first game, but the second game was much more exciting.

The scoring went back and forth after the Bison came back from an early 4-1 deficit. The score would later be tied at 6-6. The deciding play was when Shea LaRocque hit a line drive to center field in the seventh inning. The hit brought Erin Hocker in from 2nd to give the Bison a 7-6 lead. Hocker later finished the job on the mound and the Bison held onto win 7-6.

The Bison will now head on to the state tournament beginning on May 25th.
