GREAT FALLS – The Great Falls Americans Junior A Hockey team of the NA3HL has announced that two players from the 2016-17 season have taken their next step and plan on playing hockey at the college level along with getting their education.

Goalie Nick Nast announced he’s committed to play this fall for the St. Mary’s University Cardinals, a NCAA Division lll school located in Winona, Minnesota. Nast recorded 20 wins in 25 games played last year and had 733 total saves, with a .934 save percentage ranking him in the top ten in the league. He played a crucial part of the Americans playoff run last season.

Defenseman Danny O’Donnell has announced that he will be playing hockey for the Aurora University Spartans in the fall. Also a Division lll school based in Aurora Illinois. O’Donnell led the team with 67 assists and accumulated 20 goals for the Americans in 52 games played last year. He was also named the NA3HL’s Defensemen of the Year.
