KALISPELL – Two cross-town rivals needed a victory on the diamond. The Kalispell Glacier Wolfpack slugged their way to the win.

The Wolfpack pounded out an 18-8 decision, winning by the 10-run rule in 5 innings. Flathead jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the 1st. But Glacier came back quickly to tie it in the bottom of the inning. And then Maddie Johnson hit a 2-run homerun to center putting Glacier up 6-4.

Alivia Atlee ended the game with a big swing in the 5th. The junior’s grand slam pushed the margin to 10, ending the game at that moment.

The rivals started game two of a doubleheader, but rain forced the game to be cancelled in the 1st inning.
