Kalispell Glacier midfielder Parker Bedard (center) has signed with the Carroll College men's soccer team.

HELENA – Doug Mello is hard at work for the 2017 soccer season.

Carroll College’s men’s soccer coach announced the signing of two athletes Wednesday, including Kalispell Glacier product Parker Bedard.

Bedard, a three-year letter winner for the Wolfpack, was an all-conference athlete from his defensive midfield position. He also brings a 3.5 GPA to the Fighting Saints. Each of Bedard’s parents were college athletes at Boise State University.

“Parker is a top player from Montana. We are always happy to sign in-state talent,” Mello said. “He will boost an already strong midfield with his aggressive tackles, and defense splitting passes.”

Forward Nick Lowrimore of Sandy, Utah also joins the Fighting Saints. The four-time letter winner was a 5A state champion and his older brother, Chris, played soccer at Gonzaga from 2011 to 2015.

“Nick comes to the Purple and Gold with an impressive pedigree from the Salt Lake City area,” said Mello. “His field vision and quick speed of play will fit nicely into the Saints style of attack.”

Bedard and Lowrimore join Joshua Lopez and Pablo Salamanca in the Saints’ 2017 recruiting class.
