MISSOULA – The Missoula Mavericks look ready for another successful summer, while still dealing with spring conditions.

The Mavs improved to 3-0 with a 12-2, 8-inning win over the visiting Mission Valley Mariners Tuesday night.

Spencer Schock and Beau King each collected two RBIs with base hits in the bottom of the 3rd, giving Missoula a 5-0 lead. James Martin and Parker Stevens added RBIs later to give the Mavs a 7-2 advantage.

Then Missoula put together a 5-run rally while only recording one out in the bottom of the 8th, ending the game due to the 10-run rule. The Mavs drew 7 walks in the inning. Andy Brooks drew a base on balls with the bases loaded to end the game.
