The 2017 Helena Brewers are still seeking host families before their arrival on June 12. (RICHIE MELBY/MTN Sports)

Many professional baseball players have spent part of their minor league careers in the Pioneer League — whether it be with Montana affiliates at Billings, Great Falls, Helena or Missoula or with the out-of-state clubs at Grand Junction, Idaho Falls, Ogden or Orem.

More than 100 players on current Major League Baseball active rosters played at least one game in the Pioneer League. The Colorado Rockies lead the Majors with 12 former Pioneer Leaguers on the active roster, including young stars Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story. The Cincinnati Reds and Kansas City Royals each have 10 former Pioneer League players on their active rosters.

Twenty-nine MLB teams have at least one former Pioneer League player on their active rosters. Only the San Francisco Giants begin the 2017 season without a former Pioneer Leaguer on their active roster.

The full list of former Pioneer League players in the Majors is below, sorted by Pioneer League team.
